Dr. Zhe Jiang
Arpan Man Sainju joined the group in Fall 2016. He received his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal in 2011. He has worked as a system engineer at E&T. co. ltd., Japan for five years before joining UA. Arpan's research interests include spatial data mining, spatial big data with GPU, and deep learning. During his Ph.D., Arpan has published as first author or co-author four journal papers (e.g., TKDE, TBD, TDS) and four conference papers (e.g., KDD 18-19, SSTD 17). He received the Outstanding Graduate Researcher Award in CS 2018 (one student per year). (Arpan's homepage)
Wenchong He joined the group in Fall 2019. He received his B.S. degree in Physics from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2017, and Master degree in Mathematical Biology from the College of William Mary in 2019. During his master study, he is interested in mathematical modeling and computational research. His current research interests include machine learning, spatial data mining and deep learning.
Chengming Zhang (co-advised with Dr. Dingwen Tao) joined the group in Fall 2019. He received his B.S. degree in integrated circuit design from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2017. He won the third prize and the first prize in the National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest in 2015 and 2016 respectively. His research interests include high performance computing, data mining and machine learning and parallel computing.
