Short Biography

Zhe is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Alabama. He received Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Minnesota in 2016, advised by
Prof. Shashi Shekhar. Zhe received his B.E. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Science at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2010. His research interests include spatial big data analytics, spatial and spatiotemporal data mining, spatial database, geographic information system, as well as their interdisciplinary applications in earth science (e.g., water resource management), transportation, public safety, public health, etc. His current research activities involve high-resolution flood extent mapping based on aerial imagery.
